Julian Sands Located After Going Missing on Hike
Julian Sands, an English actor renowned for his roles in TV series such as “24” and movies like “A Room with a View” and “Arachnophobia,” has been classified as a hiker who has been missing since last Friday in the area of Mt. Baldy, California, as per the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Search and rescue teams have had to suspend their efforts to find missing hiker, Timothy Jean Sands, due to bad weather and an avalanche threat on Mt. Baldy in San Bernardino County, California. Officials are now using drones to search the San Gabriel Mountains area, but the severe conditions on the mountain limit what rescuers can do. Huerta, a spokesperson for the effort, said that despite this, they are still hopeful that Sands will be found.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has issued a warning to hikers about the perilous conditions on Mt. Baldy, with high winds and ice persisting. Over the past month, search and rescue teams have responded to 14 rescue missions in and around the mountain.
Sands, an actor known for his roles in movies such as “The Killing Fields” and “Leaving Las Vegas”, as well as TV shows like “Smallville” and the Netflix series “What/If”, has unfortunately passed away.
The actor was found dead in the Angeles National Forest in California. The cause of death was undisclosed, but the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed the death.
In a post on the department’s official Facebook page, they mentioned that during the past four weeks, the department had been working on rescue missions for lost, stranded, and injured hikers. Sadly, two hikers did not survive due to the recent storms that brought along snow and ice conditions.
