At One Bills Drive, on the day of the locker room cleanout, QB Josh Allen addressed the media only hours after the team was eliminated in the AFC Divisional Round by the Bengals. As he gazed back at his fifth season in the NFL, Allen was able to recognize both the successes and struggles that the Bills had encountered. Although the squad ultimately fell just short of their ultimate aim, the campaign was laden with intense episodes.

QB Josh Allen shared on Monday that he was still proud of the team despite the Divisional loss on Sunday. He commented that although there were plenty of negative outcomes during the season, the team overcame many adverse situations.

The other players on the team described Sunday's Divisional loss as feeling numbRegarding the Bengals game, the only home game this season in which Allen failed to throw a touchdown pass, he detailed what caused the offense to falter. Allen divulged that Cincinnati had been using simulated pressures and utilizing a mix of Tampa, post-high zone, and junk defensive looks to confuse the Bills' offense.. WR Isaiah McKenzie, TE Dawson Knox, and OL Rodger Saffold mentioned that the emotional weight of the season had taken a toll on their performance. Although not using it as an excuse for their loss, the team was clear about the challenges of the season.

When posed with an assessment on his teammates' point of view, Allen concurred. He said, "I can agree with that statement. I'm not sure how it would affect me personally, but I know that it's important to put your best foot forward against great teams, and we didn't yesterday."

For the first time since sustaining a sore elbow in Week 9, Allen divulged more specifics about its effects on him during the latter portion of the campaign.

He noted, There was a stretch that really irked me after it had occurred, when it was still quite troublesome. But in reality, it didn't impede me that much. I just felt obligated to alter a few things in my throwing motion, striving to keep away from how I'm accustomed to throwing the ball.

The QB never took a game off, yet in four of the Bills' next six matches after the injury, he failed to throw two or more touchdowns. Allen's performance improved in the latter part of the regular season and during the Wild Card round, during which he accumulated 12 touchdowns, ran for another, and had a tri-game average of 270.5 yards in the air. He commented on the progress of his arm saying, "Around two weeks ago I feel I returned to my usual mechanics. Being a rotational thrower, the injury had made it more linear, unable to use much force and more of a flick, but I managed to overcome and adjust."

Allen revealed that surgery is not necessary at present and recovery through rest will be helpful in getting his elbow back to full health.

"We don't think an operation is necessary right now," he said. "Rest and recovery will be really beneficial for it."

Regarding the Bengals game, the only home game this season in which Allen failed to throw a touchdown pass, he detailed what caused the offense to falter. Allen divulged that Cincinnati had been using simulated pressures and utilizing a mix of Tampa, post-high zone, and junk defensive looks to confuse the Bills' offense.

Allen assumed responsibility for the squad's incompetency to perform offensively while at the same time expressing his overall exasperation with how the season culminated. Despite the Bills having earned a spot in the playoffs for the past four years, and having taken the crown of their division three times in succession, they have yet to surmount the barricade of the AFC.

We must execute better in the later stages of the season," Allen remarked. We have to determine a way to come to our zenith at the correct time in the playoffs.

Allen opened his press conference by expressing his pride for the Bills' accomplishment of winning 12+ games in the regular season and three consecutive division titles. He acknowledged the hard work and dedication from the whole team leading up to these achievements.

"The only way is forward," Allen said. "We have to keep pushing and learning, talking with the coaches and being involved so we can make this thing work going forward and make it a little easier for us."

Allen wrapped up his presser by expressing the love and respect he has for the members of the Bills organization. The 12+ wins and division titles mark the third time in franchise history that these achievements have been seen in the same season, and the seventh time the team has done so overall.

"I'm proud of how this team was able to fight through some of the stuff that we went through," Allen stated. "The adversity that this team has conquered is unprecedented. There's no doubt that we all wanted to win, but just to make it through such a difficult journey with this group is admirable."
