Adam Schenk Incredible Putt as Beer is Thrown at Flag

Adam Schenk is on the brink of earning his first career win on the PGA Tour this Sunday at the Valspar Championship, thanks to an incredible long-distance birdie putt.

Currently in a tie for the lead with Jordan Spieth, Schenk found himself in a difficult spot on the short par-4 12th, 70 feet away from the pin for birdie. With greens looking dry and baked, a two-putt would have been a solid effort.

However, Schenk went one better, sinking a lengthy putt to take the lead:

Schenk's putt at the 17th hole during the third round of the 2020 PGA Tour at the John Deere Classic proved to be the longest of his career. Despite being only the seventh-longest of this year's tour, the shot was punctuated with a finger in the air in celebration. It even managed to surprise caddie Michael Greller, who was taken aback by a fan throwing a beer at the flag. Should Schenk be able to clinch the victory, this will be a putt he'll remember for the rest of his life.
