Eight Warriors Reach Double-Digit Scoring in 144-113 Rout of Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs welcomed a record-breaking crowd of 68,323 spectators to the Alamodome, as the Golden State Warriors began their five-game road trip. The Warriors were triumphant, claiming a 144-113 victory over Gregg Popovich's team and cementing their place in NBA history for having the largest crowd ever.

The Golden State Warriors needed to find the missing piece in their season and they found it in the form of intensity. On Thursday, the Dubs played with a newfound strength and defeated the talent-lacking Spurs by a wide margin.
The game was close at first, as the Warriors led 33-28 at the end of the first quarter, but they quickly pulled away and never led by less than 15 points after the middle of the third.
The Warriors have made it clear that they need to bring this intensity on the court every game if they are going to achieve the success they seek. With their victory over the Spurs, Golden State has taken a step in the right direction.
Klay Thompson was in great form early on as he connected several shots from distance as well as demonstrating good decision-making in his passing. Despite playing only 23 minutes, Thompson ended with 16 points (7-for-10 from the field), 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Meanwhile, Steph Curry had a solid outing in his second game since returning from injury. Although he was only 2-for-7 from the 3-point line, he went 4-for-5 from inside the arc and registered 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in 23 minutes.
Draymond Green paced the Warriors' starting five with a +20 rating and contributed 6 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. Kevon Looney lent support with a double-double of 14 points and 10 boards.
The Warriors' bench was just as formidable, led by Jordan Poole's 25-point effort (on 8-of-16 shooting), adding 3 rebounds and 6 dimes. Donte DiVincenzo had a huge game as well, accounting for 22 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and a game-high +24 rating.
The Warriors' outing in the contest yielded positive results as all 10 of their active players scored at least five points. Following their successful outing, they will have one day of rest before embarking on the road against the Bulls in Chicago. Tip-off is slated for 12:30 PM Pacific on Sunday.
