Nuggets Burn Suns in Short-Handed Defeat
The Phoenix Suns were unable to retain the victor's glow from their win over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, as they were defeated by the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night.

The Phoenix Suns were unable to overcome the might of the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, as they were defeated 126-97.
Having already triumphed over the Golden State Warriors on the eve of this game, the Suns were unable to muster a sufficient response against the Nuggets, who proved to be too strong a force.
The Phoenix Suns saw no starter produce a positive plus/minus rating as every player registered a rating of -20 or worse on Wednesday night. Scoring was also a problem for the Suns as no player registered more than 16 points.
Denver Nuggets, on the other hand, had a great scoring output with their first three periods of play putting up 34, 36, and 30 points respectively.
Saben Lee, recently signed to a 10-day contract, made the most of his opportunities by putting up 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The Nuggets sat most of their starters for the fourth quarter, although Jamal Murray was forced to exit early in the frame after suffering a sprained ankle. He still managed to post 16 points and 6 assists on the night.
Denver dominated the game, thanks in large part to Nikola Jokic's MVP-level performance. In just three quarters of play, Jokic tallied 21 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists, missing out on a triple-double by just one assist.
The Nuggets shot an impressive 56.5% from the field and led by as many as 31 points in the contest, ultimately securing a comfortable victory.
The Phoenix Suns will attempt to regather themselves on Friday night when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves.
