Men’s Basketball Bracket for the 2023 Big Ten Tournament
The Big Ten Tournament bracket for 2023 is now set after a seven-way tie was broken. Michigan State secured the fourth seed and will begin their tournament run on Friday (2:30 p.m. ET) in Chicago, while Michigan took the eighth seed, facing off against ninth-seeded Rutgers on Thursday (noon ET).
Both teams were among the seven Big Ten teams tied for second place in the conference standings at 11-6 prior to Sunday's games and a few tiebreakers. Ultimately, the Spartans were able to clinch the higher seed thanks to a Saturday win over Ohio State to cap off the regular season.
Purdue will go into the Big Ten Tournament as the top seed, as they were the outright winners of the conference. Northwestern received the second seed and Indiana the third. The tournament kicks off on Wednesday at the United Center and wraps up with the championship game on Sunday, prior to the NCAA Tournament field being announced.
