After His Golden Globes Win, Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber Show Off Their Passion

12 January 2023, Thursday
At the Golden Globes awards ceremony on January 10th, Austin Butler won the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama for his role as the late Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann's movie Elvis. His girlfriend, model Kaia Gerber, joined him at an after-party, wearing a sleeveless black gown. Photos show the two embracing and sharing a passionate kiss, before heading home together.

The Brothers star, who was attending the Golden Globes ceremony for the first time, made sure to give a shoutout to his older sister Ashley during his acceptance speech. He also took the opportunity to thank his dad, who was watching at home, as well as his late mother, whom he felt was smiling down upon him. "My sister is here with me tonight. Ashley, I love you so much," he said. "I want to thank my dad, who is watching at home. Additionally, I want to thank my mom, whose presence I can feel even now. Mama, I love you so much. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for me."

In December 2021, rumors of a romantic relationship between Butler and Gerber first began circulating. Despite not attending any award shows together, they have been seen at several celebrity gatherings.

In 2022, the couple made their first red carpet appearance at the Met Gala, with Butler bringing Gerber as his date. Additionally, they attended the premiere of Elvis at the Cannes Film Festival.

Before she started going out with the actor, the model had been involved with Euphoria star Jacob Elordi, who, by an uncanny coincidence, is also portraying Elvis in Sofia Coppola's upcoming movie Priscilla, which focuses on Elvis's wife, Priscilla Presley.

At the Golden Globes, Variety asked Butler for his advice for Elordi, who is set to take on a new role. Butler replied, wishing the actor luck and expressing his hope that he would have a great time.
