Winners of the 2023 CMT Awards Announced

Sunday saw the CMT Music Awards take place at Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown hosted the event, which was voted on by the fans, and even performed during the broadcast.
Remarkably, Kane and his wife Katelyn Brown made history as the first husband-and-wife duo to win the highly-coveted Video of the Year award for their 2022 song “Thank God”. It was also the first time each of them have won in this category.
Rapper and country singer Jelly Roll earned a major win on Sunday, taking home three awards such as male breakthrough video of the year.
The show boasted performances from Gwen Stefani, Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes, Keith Urban and Alanis Morissette, the latter marking her CMT debut celebrating the 10th anniversary of the “CMT Next Women of Country.”
Country music luminary Shania Twain was presented with the 2023 “CMT Equal Play Award,” and tributes to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Lynyrd Skynyrd were given by various artists.
